In this free webinar, you will learn how to translate Adobe InDesign files using STAR's computer assisted translation tool, Transit NXT.

How can I translate DTP files efficiently?

High standards for layout require professional DTP tools and a translation process that can transfer layout quality to the target languages efficiently.

Transit supports all relevant DTP formats, such as Adobe InDesign, Adobe FrameMaker or Adobe QuarkXpress. The format-independent translation memory allows you to leverage previous translations, even if they are in a different format.

In this webinar, you will learn how to translate DTP projects in Transit, how to use the PDF viewer to see the translation in context and what a 'format-independent translation memory' means in practice.

Using an InDesign file as an example, we will show you how to prepare a DTP file for translation. You will then see how the same working environment and familiar functions can be used to translate DTP projects in Transit.

You will also experience the segment-synchronised PDF preview function and the flexibility of a multiformat TM. Finally, we will export the project and see how the translated document appears in InDesign.
