Translation Technology: What's there and we don't know it
Some of you might have participated in the eCPD webinar series "Translation Technology -- What's Missing and What Has Gone Wrong" presented by Jost Zetsche. During the first webinar, Jost Zetsche compiled a kind of wish list based on the requests for features of CAT users. The import option that we will see today is very useful for project managers. Imagine you've received a huge file from a client, but are asked to translate only some parts of it. You might consider the option of copying the part to be translated to another file and later copying back the translation into the original file which might be risky or not possible at all for advanced file formats like Adobe FrameMaker, for example. The new Service Pack brings an excellent solution for this! You as a project manager can import the entire file in Transit, you just have to tell Transit what needs to be translated and Transit will take care of the rest for you.
